Jay Danis...
Jay Danis is a professional rockclimbing instructor with many years experience in climbing and rope rescue. He has climbed in the British Columbia Coast Mountains, The Rockies, and Quebec, as well as Ontario, New York State, and California. He is an inventor of new knots, a score of rope systems and task specific stretcher rigs for rescue.
A founding member of the International Society for Fall Protection, he has authored several articles on this subject. He has served in a variety of ways as a consultant to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies.
Mr. Danis is frequently consulted regarding the character of knots found at crime scenes. He currently serves as a Rope Rescue Advisor in British Columbia.
In specific emergencies he is the one often called upon when "the fertilizer hits the fan" so to speak. Be it a hostage rescue, suicide jumper, or to run a stealth track in the bush as a 'Pathfinder', his skills are in demand.
